This is a ceramics workshop taught by Yasmin Falahat which will cover two sessions:

First Session: Beginners hand-building on Wednesday 29th March 6-8.30pm - where you will learn the basic techniques of hand-building such as pinch pots, slab building, coiling and surface design. This 2.5 hour session will give you the opportunity to make your own piece(s)!

Second Session: Beginners glazing on Wednesday 12th April 6-8.30pm - where you will learn about glazing and explore different ways of applying the glaze. You will get the opportunity to paint your fired pieces using coloured underglazes and glazes.

After the workshop your pieces will be fired and posted out to you (postage cost included in the workshop cost).

The workshop includes BOTH sessions, these are not available as separate sessions.

They will both take place at the Nunnery Cafe at 181 Bow Road, Bow, London, E3 2SJ and free drinks, cakes and snacks will be included at each workshop!

Materials and tools will be provided, all you need to bring is yourself!

There are only 10 slots available, so it will be a small, intimate and relaxing evening :)

This is NOT a workshop to learn how to make the figs & pomegranates, you will be taught the hand-building techniques with which you can make whatever you like.

The cost covers both sessions.

The time between the 2 workshops dates is to allow your pieces to dry and be fired in the kiln.
